New Venture Theatre in is an amateur company in Brighton East Sussex with two theatre spaces in a converted school building.
Founded by Arthur Graham Phillips, a professional actor, in 1947, the company is run entirely by its members on a voluntary basis.
They do not hire our theatre spaces to external organisations.
NVT is now a registered charity.
NVT run a regular (drop-in) acting group open to everyone (with an NVT members discount).
Sussex Playwrights Club (a separate group ) founded in 1935 have had their meeting there (in the bar) on the first Sunday of the Month since the building was converted.
